Title: Latest Build Tennessee Rifle
Post by: g rummell on November 04, 2014, 04:05:40 AM: Finished this up about three weeks ago. Built around a 44" Rice Swamped 32 caliber barrel, modified small Siler, Davis double set triggers, all iron mounted and treated to look hand forged, and all the rivets and the moon inlay are of copper. The entire rifle weighs in under 6.5 pounds!

I'm about 3 weeks out from finishing up an Early Moravian for a client. Then a Lehigh, a couple more Tennessee's, and I'm doing another Jacob Dubbs for myself since I sold my last one.

Thanks, I used Aqua Fortis, heat, then an over stain of Honey Maple.

Didn't manage to shoot any squirrel but I did get a turkey and 2 pheasants with it.

I made both from 22 gauge sheet steel.

Just a small Siler re worked a bit. And as far as letting it go, I'll just build another. :)

It's a madness, A virus, maybe borne with?, I always have something sitting in one of the dinning room chairs, I tinker with stuff off and on......then I get out in the shop and spend 6-8 hours before I know it!
But it stays a hobby, I decided not to let it rule me......heh, I gotta go......I need to go check on the parts that I have browning.......
