Length overall:    48 5/8"
 
Barrel length:      32 1/8"
 
Width across flats:  1 1/8" at breech; 1 1/16" at muzzle
 
Caliber:                  approximately .44, 6 groove rifling,  wide grooves - narrow lands
 
Length of pull:        13 1/2"
 
Weight:                  10 lbs. 8 oz.

Rifling in the LG Ward rifle is cut with six grooves, wide grooves - narrow lands. Both L G Ward rifles are six groove with a fairly fast twist ( I did not measure the twist).
