Walnut and horn compass

Here's a compass box I turned from some walnut that Ron Luckenbill gave me.  The horn is a nice slice I had left over and was thick enough to add some detail.  The coin is a (repro) 1804 half penny (amazing to think that it had some value at one time).

I buy the compasses via amazon.com.  Enter "antique compass" and scroll a couple of pages and you'll find them.  They're about $6.00 each and not bad for the money.  The compass is about 2" dia.
