Yes, scaling should be done but it is a kit with most of the hardware roughly machine inlet already.  There is not a lot that can be changed, which is why I don't normally build kits.  I want to make the important design decisions. However, kits do teach you how to make the best of a given situation and correct problems, skills which help with your own work. That said, Jim Kibler's kits are the only ones I've seen for which I would not likely try to change the architecture simply because I could not better Jim's designs.  All other kits I've seen so far could use some tweaking at least.

Kit or no, the lines on this rifle are beautiful to my old eye. Great job. I love the Roman Nose style.
