Flintlock rifle
« on: April 28, 2019, 05:06:23 PM »
Hi,

I started to make a swivel pistol, half scale.
I think that making a pistol takes the same time as making a rifle.
It is good to make something else because now I learn a lot.
I used silver for the front of the barrels.

Ahhh so to be historically accurate it's a 0.23622 Caliber, I enjoy your builds very much, and looking forward to this one. Thank you for sharing,

Jon

Hello,

I am very busy with repairing my house, so I am very slow finishing the Flintlock pistol.
But I had some spare time, so here some pictures of where I am right now.
The hammer top jaw is below, that was new for me.
When the pistol is finished I will sent new pictures.

That is real fine craftsmanship. The only thing that bothers me is the frizzen springs could be a little prettier.  The work is great.

Adrie,

You have done it again.  Looking forward to our visit in Sept with Norm.  Jon Rider,   Kingsbury Arms. will be here also.  I think you are going to give all of us a lesson in gun building.

David,

We are very glad Norm will help us in the U.S., otherwise it would be possible we got lost!
Norm, Gonny and I are looking forward to see you and Jon.
