I am not sure what I would give for one, I haven't done any research on them yet. I image there is a pretty big price swing from something in just good shape and no known maker, to some of the beauties from well known makers I have seen on here.

Great Post, thanks to OP and all contributors. I joined this forum today because I am about to embark on a very similar resto of another old Tennessee family rifle very much like this one. I'll post up when I dig into my project.
