 It might help if we knew the maker of the lock. Even more helpful would be to know the length of the lock plate and the inlet. I have seen up to 0.100 difference in length from the same maker and way more difference than that in original plates
  I have a Davis to compare it too and also have at least one of TRS plates. You are welcome to that plate if it would help you. It is undrilled ,so you could fit your internals to it.

If you could send a paper trace of the TRS profile, it would help in decision making.

I may not have one of TRS plates after all.  I have one of their locks though, so can  send the tracing as you request. The TRS is larger than the Davis . OAL is  5.246 compared to 5.177 and width of plate at rear of fence is 1.000 vs .964.
 If yours is a Davis lock it will have a D inside a circle stamped inside the plate

Mine is a Davis.  It has the circled D on the inside.
