Ed, I don't know what you are disappointed in.  It all looks breathtaking to me.

That said, the figures interacting with the wire, and especially the tang shell carving are what really call to me.  Funny how a bunch of folks can look at your work, and all appreciate different aspects.

A great job......as usual Mr. Wenger.  Now go mow the lawn.   ;-)

God Bless,   Marc

I like everything about your rifle Ed!  Just stunning!  The patchbox lid with the slightly raised lip on the end cap top for use as a slide grip is down right genius!   Did you get that idea from any originals?

Thanks, everyone...

Dave..., I’m really glad you chimed in, thanks.  I suspect what your talking about with the copper tube will be the ticket!  I believe it was Jerry H. who posted a woodcutting from Europe showing rifles being blued in what looked like a pizza oven.  It showed the barrels sitting on a sheet of something (probably copper) during the process.  I can’t wait to see your results, so pleas make sure you share!

Jim..., thanks, and I’m thinking you’ll be doing something spectacular once again!...

Joel..., thanks, yes, I’ve seen this “lip” on original pieces, both English and Continental Europe.

Thanks again!
