Here is my last rifle. Number 34. Built for Monica to hunt deer with, a .50 caplock. Based on a Henry Albright rifle in Whisker's book "Gunsmiths of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania", page 65. She wanted caplock, nickle silver hardware, inlays including the sun, moon and stars, and a different hunter's star. It has a Rice B weight 38" swamped barrel, blued steel.
The sideplate location caused me problems, but I solved them. After this photo, I engraved Monica's name on the plate. I cut the stock from a blank.
Here is the changed hunter's star plus a 2000 Sacajawea dollar I added in.
I sawed the patchbox from a blank. The ball puller is threaded in to keep the other parts from falling out.
The lid lifter spring is made from a piece of hacksaw blade.
