Ed, I was having the same problem as Danny, the pics seem a tad too dark and/or something about contrast. It's hard to see any detail so check to see if this a little better.
I'm impressed that you 'burned' yourself a pour spout. I'll bet you did that outside or the missus would have had a fit for sure.
From what I can see I'm not sure if the base plug has been pegged. I note you mention the base area is 3inches, is that oval or round?
I like the architecture of the horn layout and the fact that it's a 'double curve". That is the proportion of the body between the throat area. It's also evident you've paid some attention to a few originals or two as it appears you were shooting for a 'typicial folk art' style horn? You will find that a whole host of symbols, animals, people, etc would have been celebrated by original users/makers in the old days. All in all, a good start, and as a master or two I know,,,,they keep repeating the same. Keep practicing, keep practicing, blah, blah, blah.
Oh, and don't forget to have fun. Enjoy because sometimes the journey taken gives us the most joy, not always from finding what we were seeking.
