Krider. Not good
« on: December 18, 2022, 06:58:46 AM »
My third shipping damaged gun in three years.

Good thing I have a soft spot for side X sides, also a 12bore Krider. I felt a little better after seeing the shotgun. Not by much but better

FedX. gun was packed well. Top corner of box has damage running down about two feet. I thing because the shotgun is shorter the longer barrel on the rifle had some room to move when the box got damaged.

The hammers fit nicely over the fences!! Bad luck on the rifle.

Jruff,

That's unfortunate. I had the same misfortune with FEDEX around Christmas time about 11 years ago. I shipped a rifle to Sequatchie Rifle in early December, they removed my Aluminum Case and leaned it against the back of the truck to get another package. Unfortunately they forgot the case, backed up and snapped the rifle in half and destroyed the case. I've never shipped another rifle during the Christmas Season since.

I've had a few guns broken in shipment through the years. Sometimes it was because of poor packing and sometimes not. I've experinced it with all three major shippers. If you think about it, it's rather galling that you have to purchase insurance in case they cause damage, and then turn around and fight over the claim.

Indeed is galling to say the least. One of the major reasons I have stopped trying to sell on line. Merry Christmas anyway. Dave 8) 8)
