Chuck Edwards on blog
« on: June 07, 2010, 01:42:04 AM »
Another stunner. I know one pic is supposed to suffice for nigh a thousand words, but a little narrative would be welcome here. I'd sure like to know the barrel length and a little about the wood and metal finishes.

I don't know if I should go out and buy lottery tickets of stop drinking coffee and beer so I can save more faster. He who dies with the most flinters wins, and I've got a lot of ground to make up!  :-\

Beautiful work!

Chuck's guns are really wonderful. They have a style that is instantly recognizable.  When you look one over, everything is just really well done and they also have that certain "something" that grabs you.

I know Chuck scrapes his guns - the degree of smoothness sometimes depends on whether it is one of his "barn guns" or a more highly finished gun.

His engraving and carving are used sparingly, but are very well laid out and executed and accent the guns overall.

If any of you have ever met Chuck, he is also one of the nicest people you will ever meet.  Great artist, and a humble guy whose work deserves a lot more attention.

Kermit,

I asked Art to add the information about the rifle on the blog, so it might be up sometime today.  I've admired Chuck's work for a long time and been fortunate enough to own one or two of them.

Yeah, Chuck does great work.

All ya gotta do to win one of Chuck's pieces is attend the Spring Ft.DeChartre trade faire. Chuck donates a gun to be raffled off at the event. One person bought 40 tickets at $10 apiece. Fortunately, for him, he did win.  :o

Unfortunately Chuck isn't building too many guns, these days. He is a great talent, no matter what he does.
