Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

The rifle on the book cover in the vise looks like the one suzkat has in color in the other thread.  Yes?
Best regards,

Yes, that's the Elk antler gun in process.  I'll try and find out who the others are.

Thanks Suzkat, after your original post I dug out the old photo albums and took a little stroll down memory lane. Got to see some old friends, some here some gone so it was worth the trip. Fond memories are one of lifes greatest joys. Best wishes    Gary

The second picture from the top is from a later period, after the shop moved from the E. Deane site to the Ascough site on Francis Street. That bay window is a dead give away. The men in that picture are Joe Lewis, Lindsy Grigsby, and Wallace and the picture is probably 1968. Joe and Lindsy are draw filing a barrel.

The other pictures do date from the 1963-66 period but the ones in the book are very "staged" and have nothing resembling real work going on. That how photographers liked it back then -- composition over reality!
