Wonder where Early worked? This rifle, and its signature treatment, look a lot like what we see on John Shell's rifles. The cheek rest, stock profile follow trends of the Harrisburg/Shell style. Although rather plain, it is well made and appealing. Apparently it has some history which would be nice to include with the gun, over in the Library. It appears that the barrel may have been set back some, but it is hard to really say. Whatever, it is a good honest, closet gun that deserves a place on the wall.
