Fresh from Lewisburg PA Show - Pics
« on: February 03, 2012, 10:37:34 PM »
Another great show !
Got there early today to beat the crowds - it was filling up fast.
As always, great people, eager to share,  I always learn a lot just standing around listening.
Spent more time in the Originals room this year, looking at architecture and taking pictures.
Picked up a blank from Wayne Dunlap and hurried home before I spent my lunch money.

I was there today also. As always a great show! Not to mention I got parts for another build and met up with folks I haven't seen in a while. My head is still spinning trying to take it all in

I was there this afternoon.  Pretty big crowd for a Friday.  Vendors were getting pretty brisk business I heard.  As always an excellant show.  Good people, good time.

I saw in the pictures that Art DeCamp was there.  I missed him.  I wanted to ask what the status was on the Screw Tip Horn book I heard rumour of.  Anyone know?

Karl,

I spoke to Art re his book.  It's scheduled for publication on February 29th.  He had pre-publication order forms on his table, delivery in 3 - 4 weeks.

Nothing beats the feel of a handmade southern iron mounted flintlock on a cold frosty morning

Yes, what a nice event my 2nd year, so I took my time. I am still taken in by how, this hobby/passion has such humble nice people in it. To all the vendors, I say THANKS. Best to you and yours; Ravenwolf.

That back action flintlock had two locks, a right and a left, with one barrel  and two flash holes. Look at the picture and you will see the right flash pan has a tube that runs forward about 1 1/2" to the flash hole. The left side has the flash hole the normal 1/8" ahead of the plug. The rifle was designed to load and shoot two loads in tandem, one at a time. Very cool piece

I too was there on Friday afternoon and evening, GREAT Show and hats off to the Getz Family, Art Decamp, Mark Wheland.

I know Art has been working on the book for a while. The craftsman and their goods were just fantastic.

The paintings were also beautiful and thank you for the pictures Meteor Man
