Today I received my copy of the KRA Bulletin..It was discussing the 50 year anniversary of the organization . They were discussing the upcoming meeting and all that was to take place. Then ask the Question " I wonder what would George Hyatt and his friends would say?" When I think about this question, I doubt they had any idea what they were creating and how that organization would grow from that first meeting in Bedford Pa.. Some of you may have attended that first meeting or know someone who did . I had a very good friend, George megall, who was there . The stories that he told leads me to believe that on thing Mr. Hyatt would say is, Man I sold that rifle cheap ! To give you an example of the prices then, go to the KRA book A True American Heritage in Picture ..On page 14 there is a wonderful JP Beck rifle.. My friend George Megall carried that rifle from Chicago to Bedford in 62.. To make a long story short, finally Carl Pippert attempted to buy the rifle..Which he did for $ 1100. Don't you wish you had been there with a few hundred dollars ?.....Louie
