The Heritage Guild 1 of 50 Dragoon

I visited my local gunshop and finally remembered to bring a camera. They were really nice about taking this special Dragoon with a $4000 price tag out of the display case just to let me take a few pictures.
The pictures have been resized several times to give the viewer a variety of perspectives.
About the only thing that was mentioned about this pistol was that it's not a "Colt".

Looks like a second generation Colt to me, but it doesn't look much like a longrifle....

According to another vendor, it very well could have been a revolver assembled unfinished in the white by Colt. Here's another one of the same models from another outfit that's in my hometown.

Wow! Two of the only fifty are located within only a few miles of my house.

It certainly is a contempory collectible of a longrifle era firearm made in honor of an engraver though.
