In about 1858 that Jacob moved to Three Churches on Jersey Mountain in Hampshire county. In the book Hanging Rock Rebel ( and at least another source)about Lt. John Blue. John says in 1861  a few other rebels and himself took their guns and some old flintlocks that they found in the loft of Hampshire County Court House to a gunsmith at Three Churches. They had their flintlocks changed to percussion. They stayed and hunted for two weeks while the gunsmith converted their guns.In another source I have read, it says that Jacob Sheetz was this gunsmith.
