#6 Wood Screw
« on: July 10, 2014, 07:46:03 AM »
I need just one of these about 1-1.25" long. Non-phillips of course.

You think I could I could find something like this? Not a chance - have looked at all the usual places TOW, Log Cabin SHop, DGW.....can't find in stock at Fastenal, Tacoma screw or the regular hdwre store.

Got any ideas? Thanks

Dave, I think you and I are the only ones still awake at this hour!

Just one screw?
I have some that are 1 inch long, 5/16 inch heads, slightly dome head, single cut slot, un-plated. Is that what you are needing?

Send me an address via PM and I'll mail you one if you can use it.

Dave Your profile says SE WA st. Is that Tri-cities, Walla Walla area?  I may have one in my collection of unplated screws. I live in the Tri-Cities now. You may not be far from help. It looks like you may have already got what your needing through Whetrock, good show.

So...if you're buying a fairly small quantity from BlacksmithBolt.com, their minimum s/h charge is somewhat  hefty. I suspect the builders on this forum keep a supply on hand of various sizes etc. in order to make the shipping economical (?)

What variety of this type hardware do any of you suggest that a burgeoning gun builder stock up on? What's your typical order from them look like?
