Set trigger tutorial
« on: January 05, 2015, 01:30:43 AM »
I just read the Set Trigger tutorial .wished I had saw it about 3yrs ago I just positioned my triggers so the adjust screw was directly below sear arm trigger contact point and i got a front trigger that is too light for me about 2 1/2 lbs ,i like about 4,i will correct it one day. I don't use set trigger when hunting, actually like single triggers better.

I like to hunt with a single trigger unless I'm squirrel hunting, but I think I'd rather have the 2 1/2 lb

I like the little heavier pull when Deer hunting with gloves on, for target shooting the 2 1/2 lb is fine ,I just like to be able to feel the trigger through the gloves don't always have time to remove them to prepare for a shot where I hunt .

I know what you mean! Sometime's it doesn't seem like a lot of room for a gloved finger in the triggerguard.

I have made a lot of set triggers but the best shooting I did was with a single
trigger.

On a Hawken I like the looks of a Double Set trigger but i like using a single trigger better, and i like the bigger guard.I have what i call my copy of a Leman with a single trigger that is my favorite for hunting.I think i shoot better with the single trigger yoo.
