Boy, if this one could only talk. I picture an old guy in bib overalls lugging this heavy rifle to all the shoots. He's done everything to keep it going beyond it years. Out side is rough but bore is clean and shiny.
Iron Mounted Southern Target Rifle: unsigned.
Barrel- 41in. straight 15/16in. 36cal.
Stock- walnut. Nailed on brass sheet nose cap to repair split at nose.
Lock- replacement percussion. Lock panel was cut out and new piece of wood wired
and nailed in place, then lock inletted.
LOP- 14in.
Butt plate- 3 3/4" high x 1 1/8" wide.
Wrist- 1 3/8"high x 1 5/16" wide.
