New Member Introduction
« on: August 19, 2016, 09:27:31 PM »
Good afternoon everyone!  I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to your forum.  My name is Tom from Western Tennessee and I just started on my first .32 caliber Flintlock Longrifle kit.  I purchased the Southern Basic Steel Rifle version from Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading (http://www.tennesseevalleymuzzleloading.com/#!southern-rifle/czwk) and I'm really enjoying the process so far.  I chose the super premium maple stock with a 38" swamped barrel and a Jim Chambers lock assembly.

Hopefully this is a place where I can post questions and receive feedback from many of you who have "been there - done that".  I look forward to being a part of your group!

Thanks!

Tom

Tom,
How far west are you?  I'm in Somerville.  We will be starting our monthly woodswalk up again in the spring after our shooters finish healing up.

Welcome to the forum Tom. You won't find a better source of information regarding the American Longrifle, or a finer group of people willing to share their knowledge. Like Jon said, this is where the best of the best hang out! Have fun with your new addiction.....I mean Hobby!

Tom,
Send me an email, so I can add your email address to our shoot roster.  George Gomph lives in Jackson also, but was hit head-on almost 2 years ago by a drunk driver.  He has healed enough that his doctor will allow him to shoot carbine and pistol in Sept, but must wait until spring before he can wield a longrifle.
