Can anyone please tell me what the breechplug thread size is for a Colerain 'C' Weight .54 caliber barrel? and yes I know they come breeched but I'm thinking about using a patent breech so........

Pretty sure they are 5/8"x 18. I have pulled mine and there is just enough metal for a shoulder in the breech. Mine is a .54.

They used to sell a colerain breech plug that was .55 inch deep for all sizes. Most breech plugs are "square" as in 5/8 diameter by 5/8 inch length.
