This appears to be a modern restock of an old rifle, or a rifle built from collected antique parts. The odd 3/4 length stock detracts from the looks. It’s a shame that somebody with obviously little experience, or possibly natural talent got ahold of such a nice piece of curly maple for this project.

I'm not so sure that it is a modern re-stock.  While definitely a re-stock, it looks more like a 19th Century re-stock that has been cleaned a little too much. That might explain the "3/4 stock" part, as that was sometimes seen, even on original guns, by some makers.
