New Kentucky Rifle Foundation CD
« on: November 19, 2018, 03:01:18 AM »
Just wanted to let folks know that the Kentucky Rifle Foundation has a new CD available on our website. It contains a portion of the extensive photo collection of the late Wes White. Wes was one of the preeminent collectors and researchers of the American longrifle. This collection represents over fifty years of collecting and traveling across the counry to photograph and research significant rifles.
The CD contains over 1000 high resolution black and white images of the rifles and their most interesting details.  This CD is also different from our past issues in that Wes, who was also quite an artist, made careful drawings of details which may not be apparent in photographs. Many of the images show groupings of multiple rifles or details from the same gunsmith or school for side-by-side comparison.

This first CD covers guns from the counties of Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, Reading, and early Bethlehem/Christian's Spring, and Easton areas.  It is for sale in our store for $20 plus S&H. www.kentuckyriflefoundation.org

Thanks for posting that, Bernie.  I have been wanting to get another CD from y'all, and this sounds like it is right up my alley.

Here are a few examples from the KRF's latest CD. There are some great rifles in this collection with some excellent drawings by Wes White.

I have it. It's a great resource.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?
