I’m bringing 2 recently completed projects and one under construction. Maybe a couple of pieces of eye candy.

Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I had a ball today!  I brought my friend's original Franklin County rifle and I thought I had a lock on the "oldest gun" there, until an original Peter Berry showed up.  Hoo-ah!  Now that was cool and got to spend the day with great friends.

Ahhhh, the Lester Smith heavy bench gun.  Saw and handled that gun 2 weeks ago and I still have images of the forestock scroll carving seared in my brain.  Looks like a great and informational time was had by all.  Hi Mike Lyons.  I see Brian Barker took a day off as well.

Thanks Ron for the good time.  Only my second time but it’s permanently on my calendar.  Some of the best men to spend a day with.  Hey David Rase,  “Big Paws” fixed me up.  I’ll be getting in touch as soon as I recover from the annual Disney trip.

David, those two Smith guns are a mind expanding experience. You literally have to pull up a seat, as they will pull you into an ever deepening rabbit hole of detail...end to end detail.  I can’t imagine the amount of time expended in even cutting out that wear plate, much less the inletting, and the full coverage engraving on everything...  They are truly special, and I’m thankful to Wayne for letting us study them.

Sure was a good day, the highlight of my winter. We should do this more often!

Another fun day at Boonsboro. Thanks  Ron as always, along with Fort Boonsboro for allowing us to use the facilities.
Lots of good stuff to see this year.   Especially enjoyed getting to see and handle the original Peter Berry rifle. Also those two Lester smith rifles are something else .
Great to see everyone.

I will second what Mtmannh just said. You all sure made me most welcome as a first timer. There was much to see there from fantastic originals to recent contemporary pieces to works in progress. Much to see and much to learn. Looking forward to seeing you guys again at Lake Cumberland in a couple of weeks. I had a great time at the fort Saturday.
