little bit of luck in the turkey woods!
« on: May 06, 2020, 01:59:17 PM »
finally got the monkey off my back yesterday and killed one with my flintlock. went from field to pan in a matter of hours great hunt and great lunch! used my Roy Stroh club butt fowler named Fudd. 90 grains FF, hornets nest, 1 1/2 ounce #5 topped with hornets nest. 5 yard shot was not a pretty scene! Rich Pierce if you look close i'm sure you recognize that nice white flint in the jaws!

Ol Fudd did good. Nice bird and nice gun! I’ve got six dozen of Rich’s Magical Mystery Flints as well. Super rocks! Thanks for posting!

At that range you should have reversed that weapon and clubbed him. LOL Bet the bird tasted great. Well done.

Is there a chance that this gun might be marked E. Fudd?
