Martin Shell photos wanted
« on: June 09, 2020, 04:03:24 PM »
I am working up details for a commission project that will be a rifle in the style of Martin Shell , particularly the # 116 depicted in Kindig's book  Thoughts on the Kentucky Rifle. There are four color photos of this rifle available from the Met, but I am hoping there might be additional detail photos floating around.

Ron,

The Kentucky Rifle Foundation's CD entitled "Rifles of Dauphins and Lebanon Counties" has a wonderful Martin Shell along with 20+ other rifles, including some of nicest J.P. Beck's. Each rifle has 10+ photos plus dimensions. You can purchase it from the Foundation's store,  www.kentuckyriflefoundation.org

Hi Dave,  I have the book mentioned, yet should benefit from more photos , particularly the beech carving.
