This has been a pretty somber year. Not too much to celebrate BUT it’s beautiful fall morning in Kentucky and I just got a package in the mail. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad year after all. This gun is a 62 cal rifle. 38” barrel. Just in time for whitetail season!
Jud calls this a po-boy. Not so po in my book! Enjoy!

First 5 shots down range. 75 grains 3f Eynsford, .600 round ball and tent canvas patch.

I’ve shot it 20 times so far. I’m thinking real hard about putting it down awhile.

The only thing poor that I see about it is that it doesn't have a side plate. Congratulations. What a beauty and a shooter to boot.

I’ve only seen a few of Judd’s builds, and this is another of a good looking build.

Nice rifle indeed, Wayne & a shooter. Most good barrels shoot well from the get-go.  I've never had to "break in" a Getz, Rice, GM or Goodoien.
They all shot well with the first group, with loads I've found shoot well, per calibre.

Beautiful gun! I sure hope that is not a crack coming off the right hand corner of the tang.

I saw that crack too. Wayne better get some crazy glue down in there before it starts growing.
Probably the usual rough handling by the USPS.

No problem there guys! I’ve put enough powder through that thing already to test the integrity of any gun. I have the bruise to prove it. I’ve shot a pound of powder through it since yesterday. With very close inspection, I’m not convinced that there’s even a crack there. It’s all good............
One heck of a good rifle.

Wayne, that’s a great looking rifle. I’ve got to see that in person.  Love everything about it.
