Dixon and Sons powder/shot flask

I expected to use this flask for shot but it dropped a charge that was way to heavy for my German 16 gauge double of the English 13 gauge double.  Happily it drops a charge of 110 ±3 grains of FFg which is near perfect for my .62 English sporting rifle.

It looks a nice one.
You can stuff a bit of something in the measure so it holds less shot, if you wish.
It works quite well.

I have used hot wax for that purpose, pour a little more than you nee and just dig a little out til you get where you want to be.

Richard-I found very nice shot flasks so there is no need to reduce the charge with this one.  It works great as a powder flask.

That type is nice to use, Dennis, as you don't lose the shot like you can with the normal "Irish " tops.
I like the "English" tops, rather than Irish, but do have the odd "Irish " top I use.

For powder, Powder flasks work as well....  LOl!
