A BRACE OF PROUD HORNS
« on: June 18, 2021, 06:16:14 PM »
I've been on something of a John Proud kick these last few months. Here's a few of his horns that I just couldn't pass up.

John is a fine gent and a great artist.

Indeed, John is a master horner, outstanding scholar, terrific teacher and mentor, and a fine man. Thanks for sharing example of his work.

Thanks for posting those pictures Bob and thanks to all who complimented my work. I just "fancy up" what the cow took three years or so to make.

Work has been slow as I am recovering from my 6th spinal surgery. No bending, lifting or pulling. Looks like another month to get back to any serious shop work.

Thanks again to all for your comments. Great site to stay in touch with.

My best,

John

Great horn work John!!! Wishing you a speedy recovery so that you can catch up with those cows whose horns have been steadily growing while you were down.

John, you certainly have a fine eye and wonderfully skilled hands. Take care of that back. I am now recovering from spine surgery No. 4 and can truly feel your pain.

Those are so nice, can't believe Bob is going to fill them with powder and get them all "patinaed" and dirty!

Great work John!  You have a talent and creativity to be admired, I'd be proud to carry one of your horns as part of my kit in the woods or to the firing line.
Take care of your back, I hope you heal up quickly and successfully. Unfortunately I've been there myself, twice now and it's no fun. Keep up the good work.
