I'm currently looking for more information on a musket that's been in my family for a few generations! I've only taken it to a few gun fairs/shows and have received little, but important information about it! It was custom made by Andrew Lennox from Fairfield, PA in the 1830's to 1840's. It has a unique patch box, engravings and designs on it!  I would appreciate any information you can provide on this unique long gun.

I'm seeing Andrew Lennox in Fairview on the Allegheny River, north of Pittsburgh  1835-1838.  Maybe someone with a western Pa book can look for more info.

This piece seems to be a rifle, rather than a musket. It also appears to have been of rather nice quality. I would say it would be well worth restoration.
