Fowler ID help?

Full stock, no nose cap, smooth bore, oct to round barrel, no sig or proof marks. Stock shape similar to a committee of safety Gun. Rear sight, no bayonet lug. Replaced lock with a percussion one. Should have got more pics

Sideplate looks suspiciously French. Some of the rest of the parts, too. If this gun s for sale, it might be prudent to grab it up if it is priced fairly, (or lower). But, Mike is probably correct; it looks like a NE gun.
