To anyone interested in this item, I would call your nearest store to see if the will honor the deal early.
Usually, if asked nicely they will give the sale price early. You should also call because of shipping issues. Most stores order 3 weeks in advance and still don’t get items on time.

I just talked to Woodcraft to cancel some gouges with a delivery date of "we have no idea when". They told me this vise goes on sale 6/1.

Jerry, I looked at work today sale starts June 1. Most Woodcraft employees are part time and don’t always know what is coming the next month sales flier.

You guys have inspired me to mount this thing to my bench. I was going to sell it, but I think I’ll try it out for gun work. I’ve been using my little “parrot” vise and it works, but maybe the pattern maker vise will be the bees knees.

Yes. About ten years ago I got into hand tool woodworking and developed a collection of tools. I was interested in guitar making and bought this StewMac vise. I hadn’t done any woodwork stuff for the past few years until buying the Kibler SMR kit. It feels good to be “creating” stuff again.

Very handy items. I have two on my bench and I bought another a few months ago when they were on sale for $99. I'm going to put it on a stocking horse when I find time.

Look what came in the mail today!
Ordered on Wednesday, delivered on Friday...not shabby for free shipping.
I was happy to see the wood jaws with rubber cushions come with the vise. I will make use of this building my Kibler SMR kit.
Mine was well packed and damage free.

Glad the code was helpful to some folks! I don’t know about anybody else but I could sometimes have $300 worth things in my cart and give up when I find out I have to pay $20 in shipping… 🤷🏻‍♂️

well, I bought one too. Got the sale price, and the free shipping with the promo code, and THOUGHT I was getting a deal.

Didn't get around to opening in until Monday evening. Dont know if I saved enough $ to spend another c note on it to get it to work like I think it's supposed to? Maybe the pricier versions don't work any better?

Just wanted to bring this to the top, and maybe get it moved to Tools or some other section. I'd definitely appreciate any feedback or direction on this thing. It's a good idea, and maybe this version is just a down level copy of a better one? Sending it back will not be cost expedient, and not sure a replacement from WC would be any different... it is what it is.
