New gun shoots! 😀
« on: August 22, 2022, 01:51:47 AM »
Took my new 20 ga out for a test run today at 25 yds. This was one shot with 1 oz of#7 shot over 70 gr ffg  and  three shots with  .610 roundball over 60 gr ffg. The shot pattern and round balls were a little bit high. I think I'll take the comb down a little to get my head lower on the stock, then mess with bending the barrel if necessary.  Windage seems perfect.  No issues with ignition, and lock time seems fast.

Didn't seem any worse than the round ball load. I'll have to report back when I get the .62 rifle barrel on, and try 110-120 gr

Nice work Justin!  You will find that removing wood at the comb/wrist junction so that the comb is as much in line with the bore as possible, will eliminate cheek slap and make aligning your eye with the top of the barrel easier.  Don't make the comb too sharp either.

See you at Heffley!!!

Thanks Taylor.  I took it down a little more. I'll fine tune it later.  See you in a few days.

A really nice gun and I find the stock wood to be very interesting indeed.
