Bark tanned bag.
« on: August 29, 2022, 03:02:10 PM »
I thought I'd share this bark tanned deer skin bag I made. I really like using bark tan leather and plan on using more of it. I left the natural edge with hair on it, I know it's not for everyone but I  think it gave a nice contrast to the color of the bag. I also used a beautiful hand spun, hand woven CJ Wilde strap and a John Rader hand forged buckle.

Dave, that color makes the whole bag very desirable and fits the design perfectly.  I like it.

Very neat bag. I really like the strap, one end leather and the other just sewn to the bag. Woodsy, homey, yet rugged enough to survive the rigors of use.
