Is this a serious BR competition? As at friendship?
How close to actual muzzleloader sights does it have to be?
Front sight: https://shop.ahg-anschuetz.de/en/optics/front-sights/
Rear sight: like this"?

Also- number of tang sights available, adjustable in both windage and elevation. track has some.

Daryl those are fantastic sights. In an any metalic sight category, they are perfectly fine. I used to have Redfield Olympic sights for my cross sticks rifle.
Also had open sights on that rifle. Removed the Redfields to shoot the open sight matches.

Track probably has the best range of sights in gun parts section.
Can the rear "open" sight have arched circled sides like these?
This type of aperture open sight can be filed into most any rear boss, say, on an adjustable sight as well.

But it has no easy windage adjustment

This one has a slider in the “eye cup”  for windage. Just tight enough to hold position but can be moved as needed without any “violence”. Both are shop made.

You might look at Log Cabin. They have the P I Spence sight which is screw (not click) adjustable for elevation & windage.  They used to be known as the Friendship cheater. They are made to screw to the barrel & extend back over the tang. The sight slot is very narrow for that reason,  but can be widened if you want to mount it down the barrel.
