Gun Makers in the Luzerne Pa region.

Hi folks hope everyone is doing well. Need a little help, I have discovered that some of my ancestors (both civil war and the revolution) resided in the Luzerne area. Unfortunately a few years ago I got rid of much of my research library keeping only the Ohio books. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what gun makers would have worked in the Luzerne area circa 1850ish and if there exists any photos of their work? Thanks and Merry Christmas to all. Jack

Amos Bisbing (1833 -1906) was a gunsmith in the White Haven area, he also had a shop in Tannersville.

Thanks Ron. Lots of people to look for now this is exactly what I had hoped for. Now all I have to do is find some. Thanks to everyone who contributed. I am thinking that John was just your average guy and would have owned a plain "meat and potatoes" gun. We don't travel anymore but if a good show in the Luzerne area shows up in the Spring we might just pop for a weekend trip. Thanks again everyone who helped. Jack
