Kibler Southern Mtn. Half Stock Conversion
« on: February 09, 2023, 06:53:11 PM »
Modified a Kibler kit that had a broken forestock. .36, barrel cut at end of original taper. Soldered rib and poured nosecap.

OMG, if Jim offered them with this option along with the full stock he would be covered up in orders. Looks fantastic.

Nice!  👍👍.    Personally, I like the looks of the half stock better than a full stock.   Best,

What is the purpose of a full stock other than style?

That looks great. How did you make and attach the under-rib? Would you be able to share a few images of that too? Thank you,
TCA

Does balance very well. Still a little muzzle weight for a good hold.

Still having some difficulties navigating this site. The underib is a hollow type that better follows a tapered barrel. Pipes are silver soldered to rib then rib was soft soldered to barrel due to a lower melting temperature. Cap is tin. Here are a few pic’s. Rifle does balance well.

That is a very nice, clean looking build. The “just enough” patchbox engraving compliments it so well.
I love it.

Shop ain’t half bad, either.
