Fresh off the bench
« on: May 05, 2023, 09:30:47 PM »
Hi Folks. I thought I'd share some pics of the latest build. Stocked in a great piece of Wayne Dunlap maple, this is my rendition of #54 in Kindig's "Thoughts on the Ke3ntucky rifle.

Dumb moderator me thought this was in the For Sale section!  Please ignore previous stupidity on my part.

I am particularly impressed by this build. My first build in 1977 was influenced by the original that inspired this one. The architecture really appeals to me and the whole thing (Dan’s build) is beautifully executed.

That is beautiful. I was just looking at #54 in the book. Not many pictures to work from. That must have been a challenge.

Really like the Bucks County rifles. That is a fine job you did on this one.

Nicely done Dan!  Your stock architecture tells me it'll be a nice shooting rifle.

Thanks for the kind words. I feel fortunate to have obtained such a nice piece of maple for this build. Kudos to Wayne Dunlap.
