Mass. Finds - Questions

A buddy of mine in Rhode Island sent some photos of these he found in a Mass. antique shop.  One is full-stock, the other half-stock but has what almost looks like an octagon-round fowler barrel.  Based on these photos, can y'all give him ideas as to their origins?  Neither are signed, no carving, and both are pretty plain with the exception of that pretty distinctive patchbox.
