Swiss museum has rifle on display.

I am please to report that the museum has pushed the display of that rifle to the front burner and now has it on promenrt display. You can't really see it, but there is a small historical data card in the case about the acquision. Also, apparently, the museum had to go to the town council for approval and funds to pay for transportation of the rifle. From the notes I recieve from the museum the rifle is the center of some attention by the citizens. Especially after that article in the regional paper. I am really happy that this whole thing has come together like it has.

 





I'm seriously considering make a trip over there some day because this geographical area, prior to Switzerland becoming an autonomous state was a hot bed of rifle manufacturing - I get the sence from her notes that this part of Prussia  was on the level of a major manufacturing area for firearms. It would be a fun trip

holzwurm ... The guys and I were sittin' around talkin' about this rifle and how you sent it to them over there. We had saved up 4 attaboys and 6 rountuits and felt that you deserved them more than we did.  We feel that you have done us (Americans) a great favor.
