What weight leather do you use? The more I look at it the more I say " I GOT to make me some of those" but it will have to wait until I get some free time

I used some veg tanned calf leather. made the form from cedar I had. Easy to work with, but if I was doing production work I would use white pine

That is a neat way to make them, look great. I wonder if raw hide would work, I'm thinking a piece of sheep skin.
