Old horn repair
«
on:

This horn had been used for some time. It was bored with too large a hole in the spout and had no stopper. I counter bored and installed a new buffalo horn spout.
Turned a ebony stopper and three section hard wood base and knob and added some engraving.

Sure is a nice job. This one I bought at Dixon's so long ago, needed a new spout, so I turned one out of rosewood.
This is my 2F horn. It 'carries' 1 1/2 pounds of powder.
