Double stepped cheek piece?
« on: November 26, 2023, 07:04:45 PM »
Hi all.
I haven’t been around lately. Unfortunately I took a turn for the worse, but I am mostly healthy now, hopefully able to go back to work soon and collect more pieces-parts.....
I seem to recall seeing a picture online of a cheek piece online with ‘steps’ fore and aft. Unfortunately every search term I can think of yields nada.
Can anyone educate me on this? Thanks.

YES!  Well, that or something very much like it anyway. The picture I saw was from a different angle, but that will certainly do to be going on with. Do you have ANY information about this rifle?  Or search terms to find more info or pictures?  Thanks so much!

That;s the 'brass barrel rifle' and there should be pics of it here somewhere if you search.  Very interesting rifle.

Also look for the 'musician's rifle.'  And quite a number of German arms were stocked in this manner.
Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government!

This feature shows on some Jaeger rifles. I have photos if you’re interested
