A new rifle from Mike Gahagan

Mike called this one “Dickertish”. He used a Getz Edward Marshall barrel in 54 cal accompanied by a Chambers Early Ketland lock. Mike fussed a bit about the wire work claiming that he wasn’t very good at it. Unfortunately this wonderful piece will make the other side of Stoner Creek its home.
Enjoy

Really nice Austin. I look forward to seeing it in hand. It will look even better with one of those big Kentucky bucks when you kill one with it Mike is a top notch builder and did a fine job on that rifle

Right up there with about everything I’ve seen from Mike. I think I like pretty much everything he makes.
Look forward to seeing that one up close.
Nice! Austin

I am always in awe of Mike’s work as he shares progress in his builds on Facebook.
To me, Mike is a living legend.

I am not one for much wire work, but that really flows with the design. Love the serious business-like architecture. Lovely finishes.
