Nice work Bob, I can't comment on the carving cause I don't do any but I can appreciate the architecture, the file wo0rk and the finishing.

Thanks folks. This horn was kind of unique in how some of the design elements came to me, like I actually saw them appear on the horn when I was mulling over what to do design-wise.
Kind of weird but I’ll go with it!

Goes perfect with my new Allen Martin Schimmel especially the inscription.

Since I own this horn now I'm looking for opinions on what kind of carry strap would look best. I'm thinking adjustable leather with a brass or maybe iron buckle? Not sure about woven straps? I like the antique look but the horn is new so not too heavily antiqued. Tool marks to go along with the Allen Martin Schimmel is fine.

Thoughts?

I think a simple narrow leather strap would work. You don’t want it to compete with that fine rifle and horn. Just my opinion but that strap should almost be invisible.

I agree that nothing too fancy or vibrant.
Personally I favor having my horns on leather thongs attached to the shoulder strap of my bag. It makes for easy grab and the horn stays put on your rig. Just my 2 cents. (Hope it arrives safe and sound on Friday!)
