Samuel McCosh rifle?

Could anyone tell me a bit about this rifle? It is 32 caliber and said to be a Samuel McCosh made in Pittsburgh. Perhaps an approximate value and something about the back-lock it has. Thank you, Kurt

I was able to find information about the stated maker, either father and son or uncle and nephew, and their presence in Pittsburgh and Washington County PA, elsewhere on this site. The pictures of the rifles discussed were deleted however so I don't know if they were flintlock or percussion lock and if the back-lock style was on them. 1826-1861 and for the latter builder to 1876.

"The Longrifles of Western Pennsylvania"  has photos of four S. McCosh rifles.  Two are flint and two are caplock.  No back action locks.  Your rifle does not look like any of them.

Thank you for the reply. The rifle is one I thought about buying. The seller asked if I thought his price was fair, but I couldn't see the rifle firsthand. From the few pictures he sent, I thought his price of $700 was fair. If the lock worked as it should.
