Huntingdon rifle

Seems like a good sign for gun values when a Jacob Snyder pulls $35k plus 28% buyers premium at Rock Island. It was a beautiful rifle

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Did anyone see what the fancy "J*S" signed Jacob Stoudenour rifle went for, under Rock Island Auction's title "Silver Inlaid and Carved Bedford Percussion Long Rifle"?

Dave,

Thank you for posting the price and premium. So with sales tax, it's a 12K rifle. I was discussing the gun earlier with author Jim Whisker, who knows a lot about Bedford rifles. He said it would break 10K, and I thought he was too high on his estimate... glad I stick with the guns from down in Kentucky and Tansel powder horns... but those Tansel horns get a little pricy at times, too!

Did you happen to see what that little Indiana Tansel horn went for in the auction... didn't excite me, but always good to know what the market's doing these days.

Prices realized are live on the website now:
https://www.rockislandauction.com/catalog/4091

The horn's price realized was $2,233.
