A new/ old gun in the shop
« on: August 05, 2024, 12:18:32 AM »
This just came in for some light work I believe Dutch 1680s (?) Cut down to 40" barrel length and "dressed up" military with ivory patchbox, nose cap, and ramrod tip. The "repair" is for a broken original ramrod to be salvaged to save the ivory tip.

Very cool. I’ve seen that one or one close to it recently. The engraving on the patchbox reminds me a little of what’s seen on Dutch tobacco boxes of that era.
